How to Replace the LR3 Front Valve Block

The lr3 front valve block is responsible for sending the air made by the suspension compressor to each corner that utilizes air suspension and then lowering the vehicle when commanded by the computer. It also has the function to open and close the valve solenoids based on a control signal from the system air pressure sensor.

The most common reason that these valve blocks fail is because they stop distributing the air to the suspension struts controlled by the Air Suspension Air Compressor and you find that a corner of your Discovery 3 4 or Range Rover sinks down overnight. They contain 3 air valve solenoids including the Air suspension compressor exhaust valve solenoid which is situated behind the front passenger wheel arch and a valve solenoid pressure switch located under the vehicle near the boot spare wheel well on 2004-2012 models.

Our OE design RMT distribution block is an exact replacement part for the original valve block and it comes fully tested electrically and pneumatically to ensure perfect fit and function. It also features new brass fittings. First of all, make sure you are able to locate the correct fuse that governs the air suspension (you may have to remove the rear seat if the front one is not there). Once you have removed the fuse disconnect the electrical connector and then the Air lines (3 x 12mm Brass fittings). The black lines go to the left and right air bags and the green line goes from the EAS system air bag supply valve.
