This special edition is only available in China and includes unique exterior and interior touches including a horizontal chrome-plated "Audi exclusive" metal logo above the front air intake grille, 19-inch alloy wheels, grey leather and Alcantara equipment bags, a Bang & Olufsen advanced audio system, and an Assam ash red veneer center console. The A8L Centennial is also powered by the same 4.2L V8 biturbo, which features two sequentially-operating turbochargers with dual intercoolers. In order to achieve the increased performance, this engine was modified with enlarged and modified intake ports on the five-valve cylinder heads, new induction and dual branch exhaust systems, and a re-calibrated Motronic engine management system. A new auxiliary oil cooler was also added to help increase oil flow to the engine's cooling system. This combination allowed the A8L to develop 215 kW (415 hp). This is an upgrade from the previous 235 kW (315 hp) 4.2 L V8.
