How to Replace an LR3 Air Strut

The Air Suspension system on the LR3 is a great feature that allows you to raise and lower your vehicle with a press of a button.lr3 air strut However, this is only possible if your air suspension system is working correctly and is able to draw in air, pressurize it, and send it to each of the two front air struts. This is accomplished by a few key components including an air compressor, an air tank, a manifold, air lines, and the two air struts themselves. The Air strut is outfitted with an air bladder that inflates when your vehicle is raised and deflates when the vehicle is lowered.

If you are experiencing a low ride height or you have noticed leaking near the air strut, it is likely time to replace your front air strut. Air struts are simple, cheap, and easy to replace. You can find the right Air Strut products for your vehicle at your local Advance Auto Parts store or online.

New Air Strut - Not Remanufactured

The OE replacement strut and air spring assemblies are all new parts that meet the original specifications of your vehicle. The Arnott air suspension struts are designed and manufactured in the USA. They are backed by an exclusive limited lifetime warranty and 30-day return policy.

To begin the process of replacing your air strut, you will need to take the pressure out of the system by removing the pressure hose and valve at the top of the car. Next, remove the three 15mm nuts that hold the strut to its top mount. This is best done using a ratchet with a short socket to give you good leverage for the back side of the nut. Make sure that the strut is supported by a jack at this point so it doesn't fall and damage your air line.
